Mary-Beth Brophy

Mary-Beth Brophy is still very much a Jersey girl at heart. A writer by trade, she has penned pieces on everything from parking tickets to wedding planning, all in the name of paying rent. Improvisation keeps those creative muscles in shape and she has performed with ComedySportz, Commedus Interruptus and at Bang Studio with Blue Iguana. Her most improbable role to date has been a turn as Adam in Shakespeare's "As You Like It."

Dr. Bubonica Plague is a phrenologist—trained to diagnose ailments by reading the bumps on people’s heads. She graduated from the Medical Institute of Transylvania and favors more traditional medical treatments over cutting-edge technology. She raises her own leeches since Rancho Hospital has refused to stock them in its pharmacy. She also has a particular passion for rats—the very mention of the little critters sends her into waves of ecstasy.
